A woman who works with her hands is a LABORER; a woman who works with her hands and head, a CRAFTSMAN; but a woman who works with her hands, her head and her heart is an ARTIST. ~ St. Francis of Assisi

Birthday card for no reason

I was inspired by this magazine to make a birthday card
It is the summer issue 2011 of Paper creations.

Here is my spin on it.  Pretty much the same but I turned a bag into a card :-)
Had fun creating it.
Now who to give it to hmmmmmmm

I think the bows need a hair cut.  Lets give it a trim and see what it looks like

Oh I messed up the yellow square I untied it.  YIKES!

Please do not exam the bottom yellow square to closely.  I got it tied with the aid of a piercing tool.  It looks a bit better then in the original photo but it could have been perfect.

I think the hair cut on the bows does a world of good.

Mothers day stamp

I went to go get my Happy Mothers day stamp when I was making the mothers day card and found out...
I dont own one

Mothers day card

I made this mothers day card

I used this youtube tutorial

How to make an odd sized envelope with no measuring

So I found in the card making world you have two options in regards to envelopes. Ok as I type this there is one other option, not use an envelope at all. The other two options are make the card to fit the envelope or make the envelope to fit the card.

While the first one is much easier and quicker, it limits the size of your cards. Card making people do not want to be limited in what they can do! They want to explore all types of card sizes and shapes.
Believe it or not it is really easy to make nontraditional size envelopes. If you have a piece of paper large enough to make the envelope. If you don’t, no worries practice this way and soon you will be an envelope making expert and you can adjust the technique for extra sheets.
There really isn’t any measuring involved. A bit of folding, a bit of cutting and a bit of gluing and you have a wonderful matching envelope.

The supplies you will need (some of these items can be substituted for what you have on hand)
The card you need the envelope for
The paper you choose to make the envelope out of
Very important note… the paper must be large enough so that you can place your card in the middle of the paper and fold the bottom over your card and the top over your card and they overlap. The sides needs only be a few inches longer then your card, you do not have to be precise.
Bone Folder for nice crisp folds (I heard some people use a spoon, knife, gift card)
Corner rounder
Anything you want to embellish your envelope to match your card.

Before we begin something to think about in choosing papers, Card stock is heavy. I am not saying it can’t be used. It is just a heavier material. Patterned papers is a pretty interesting choice.
If you want to mail your card, turn that pattern paper over. Is it white? Or has a grid? That would make the perfect outside of an envelope. Best Part?????? When you create your envelope, it is lined with pretty patterned paper. So go ahead choose that pattern paper that you used on your card. Astonish your friends on how clever you are!

So let us begin
I am making an envelope for the card that I had posted a few weeks back… To google or not to google.

Place your envelope paper on your work space. Take the card and place it a bit higher than the middle horizon. As for vertically on your envelope paper you want the card in the center. The reason you want your card a bit higher is because if you study envelopes, the bottom portion of the envelope is always larger than the top portion. It really is just for looks I suppose. If you want to be wild and crazy and have the top bigger than the bottom then stick the card lower than the middle horizon.

I will note that I wish I had stuck my card it a little bit higher than the middle horizon but I did not and I am pretty pleased with the envelope as it is. I did use card stock because I did not have any brown patterned paper that would match the card and I didn’t want to use white. I am not going to be mailing the card.

You got your card a bit higher than the middle horizon. Now fold the bottom of your envelope paper over your card and make a nice sharp crease.

Do not be too tight against your card. You will want to be able to remove your card with ease.
Repeat the same step with the top of the envelope paper folding over the top of the card.

Unfold your envelope paper
Now do the same thing with the left and right panels.

Unfold again.
Examin your envelope paper and you will see you now have 9 rectangles or squares created by your fold lines.

Grab your scissors it is time to cut. You want to cut the rectangles or squares from each of the corners. The photo belows shows the corners with X’s that you want to cut out. You do not need to write these X’s because you can use that paper for scraps later. It is for demonstration purposes only.

Examin your envelope paper again. Fold over the left and right panels. Fold over the bottom panel.
You have a very rough beginning of an envelope don’t you?

Let’s clean it up a bit.
We will clean up the left and right pannels first.
I promised no measuring didn’t I? Well if you are itching to measure here is your chance. If you do not have the itch, then you can eyeball it.
You’re left and right panels might already be the perfect size. If you are making a quarter fold envelope out of 8.5x11 piece of paper it probably will be. (Then you wouldn’t be reading this tutorial because you googled a template for that size envelope!) Chances are your panels are going to be too wide. I trimmed it down to about an inch away from the fold. I took advantage of the ruler on the trimmer and trimmed away.

Do you see how much slimmer the side
panels are comared to the above photo?
I pulled out the corner rounder and rounded the tops of the left and right panels.
Let’s work on the bottom flap next.

you can see the rounded corner on the left side panel
and how the bottom piece overlaps the left side panel
When you fold it over your left and right piece it butts right up to it or hangs over it.
It isn’t very pretty, is it?
If you look at store bought envelopes, you may notice that the bottom of the bottom of the panel (now that sounds funny) starts wider and tapers off as it gets to the top.
I like just a smidgeon of a taper. I would not start to taper it at the very bottom where the fold is. The reason is because you will get a slight gap or hole in the corners of your envelope, where the side panels and the bottom panel meet. I would move up a bit and cut a small wedge towards the center… not much. A little bit will do you.

you can see how it tapers inward and the
rounded corner on the right side of the
bottom flap. The top flap has not been
fixed yet.
Repeat on the other side. I grab my corner rounder and give it a punch at both top corners. Make it looks polished.
Let’s work on the top flap.

Fold the top flap over. Make note where your taper stops on the bottom flap. That is where you rounded the corners on the bottom flap. You want your top flap to start the tapering off where the bottom stopped so it matches up better.

You can see where the bottom
ends taper thats where the top needs
to begin
You are actually cutting the top flap opposite the way you cut the bottom. You are cutting your wedge away from the center. The reason I suggest doing the top the opposite is because the tapers match up better and it looks a lot better.
Then take out your corner rounder and punch the corners.

see how the top and bottom meet at the tapered point?
Now this is just a suggestion on how to clean up your envelopes. I hope I explained it well enough to understand how I do it. It is really left to your taste on how you want to polish your envelope. I do suggest you look at store bought envelopes and determine what makes them look professional.
Now it is time to bring it to a close.
Fold the left and right panels. Put some adhesive on the bottom flap where the left and right panel meets and fold the bottom panel.
I like to put the adhesive on the bottom panel because sometimes I go too far up on the left and right panels with the glue. It would seal your top to and you do not want that just yet.

The bone folder is there so the top would
lay flat to allow me to take a photo.
I am not ready to glue that down yet
Now tuck your card in and seal the top flap if you want, however, you want. You can use stickers, or glue stick or make the envelope glue and use that.

Additonal resourses
Personally I am going to stick to tape, stickers or glue stick but to each its own :-)

The bubbles were picked up with out being completed. I suggested curling ribbon and my demanding client says she did not have extra money for ribbon.

Well If your gonna do something right, do it right!

My demanding Client is even more demanding

So demanding client calls me up and says she wants to give out water at her festival. The one that I did the flyers for. I gave her two good reasons why water was not a good idea. 1. Water is expensive. 2. When you put the water in the ice, our label will run and get ruined. So she wanted me to come up with an idea.
Well the dollar store has wedding bubbles 9 for a dollar.
Better yet Hobby Lobby had them 24 for 3.00 (if you figure it out its the same but wait... there is more) all wedding stuff was 50% off.
Yes you read right. So I snagged three boxes.
Since I have been cursed with a headache I hadnt had time to do anything with them. My sister promised she would be here this morning to help. I got the labels designed, with a few tweeks to go. It is 2pm. No sister as of yet.

I have another project I have to finish too. It is gotta go to my Aunt tonight.

I can give it to her as is or I can jazz it up. I dont think I will have the time to jazz it up. I must remember to take picks before I let the bubbles and the other project go.

Then she wants magnets. I got postcard magnets and Then I rememered problem #1 of the water will apply to the magnets so I have to work on lamenating.

Then she wants a promotional packet for school.

Can I put all this stuff on my resume?

What Conner said

I gave Robin some music and Conner was not a fan. Robin said Aunt Karen gave these to me. Conner says Curse Aunt Karen Curse her.

I think he really cursed me! I have had a headache for two days straight!

I love this album. I am going to have to give it a try

I provided the link to the blog and the video.

I also like this video.  Its a bit different then my tutorial I hand wrote.

easter cards

I used water color paints and matted in card stock
I used prisma colored pencils a free digi stamp I found and matted on a mat stack I had

Sunday, April 24, 2011

I know the minute I lay my head on the pillow I will be wide awake.

I did a lot of things the last two days.  I made serveral easter baskets.  The best ones are for the nephews.  I took pictures but I will wait to post them because I can use them in the how to wrap a gift basket tutorial.  It was hard taking pictures myself because to demonstrate where the cellophane needed to be I needed to hold it up.

Let me tally how many easter baskets I made
10 so far and I got one more to finish tomorrow.  That is Bills and Trish.

I google eyed the card a few post ago.  Lookin pretty sharp.  Still havent worked out the sentiment yet.

I made an easter card for my mum and Denny and Easter tags for everybody else basket.  When I say tag, I mean a tag with their name on it and a 4x6 card stock with a digi stamp in it colored with color prisma pencils. Except for the 4 kids.  I left theirs blank so they can color it with their new art set in their easter basket.  I only took pictures of the actually cards.

The cats finally met the cricut in operation.  It was pretty funny.  Both of them eye witnessed the curious event at different times and they had to go check it out.  Singapore was more interested it then Stinker Bell.  Which is funny cause Stinker bell is the girl after all LOL.

OH I forgot to tell this story about Duncan.
He went to the vet Wednesday and had surgery (im to tired to figure out how to spell that word which leads me to another funny story about pebbles)  He had a mass on his stomach that the doctor was not all that concerned about and one on his tail that he had no idea what it was and wanted to get it biopsed (another word im to tired to spell right) He also got his teeth cleaned.  They had to pull out two teeth.  So Duncan did not have a good Wednesday.
I took him home and my mum was going to pick him up.
He jumped on the sofa and I sat next to him and told how sorry I was for him.
He moved to the opposite side of the sofa.
So I went to go do something and came back and sat next to him again and he moved to the other side of the sofa.
What a stinker.
I was doing the dishes and I heard this whelp and I thought Duncan got hurt. But noooo He was at the window and he saw my mum pull up.  He was soooo glad to get away from me.
He totally blamed me for the whole thing!

He had now forgiven me especially since he sat by me at dinner tonight.  He expected me to toss some extra yummys but I had Skyline Chili and that probably wouldnt go over to well.

I did give him dog treats later though.

Now to the funny about pebbles.  Mom gave Pebbles his flea med and he got really sick off of it.  She text me that Peeples was really sick.  I sent her a text back asking who was peeples?  She asked how do you spell it then.  I started to punch it in the phone and realized I had no clue either LOL.  I wanted to spell it peebles and it didnt look right.  So I had to look it up on the internet.

Poor Pebbles nobody loves him enough to know how to spell his name!

Pebbles is ok now if your wondering.   I am going to try to go to bed now.   Tomorrow we are all going to Mums for Easter.  Its actually a rather large crowd
Mom and Denny of course
(not sure about Jason, probably not)
Aunt B
Not sure about Chance and Bill
Pebbles and Duncan of course.

Lexington, Singapore and Stinker Bell are not invited.

One last thing, a funny at walmart.  This girl couldnt be about ten was calling her brother Roland.  Roland was totally ignoring her.  Her dad walks up to her and she says to her dad, Dad our son is blah blah blah.... (I walked away and didnt hear the rest) but our son?????? Haaaaaaaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaaaaaa.  Um I think that is your brother! I hope that is your brother!

Happy 600 post

Well I have posted exactly 600 times.  I babble to much.  Especially since I am unemployeed I have time to share everything.  Well not everything but I am getting there.  I wanted to do a photo of a day and only kept it up for January.  I want to go back and fix that.  We will see.

Lets see what was the topic of the 600 post?

Oh  yes my demanding client forgot about the sleep overs and wanted business cards too with this and that and this and that.
I had already made those cards with this and that and this and that and that and that and that and that
she said they were alright but next time she wanted this and that and this and that and that and that and that and this instead

I also was working on my easter cards and Paint shop pro is not working for me so well.  It keeps freezing.

Here is the card so far.

Last but least (giggle)
On face book WIS TV posted a status about a free wedding at the mitchel house.  I just mentioned the lady was rude.
Three others agreed.
One had the nerve to say that the customers who were complaining were the rude ones and how did they stay in business
Um When did I say I was a customer to begin with.  I saw the lady was rude to my sister and told her as much and I mean come on ... who would use the place more then once anyway its not like it is for repeat customers.
Well anyway I was annoyed.
I still am
I am sure she knows the lady personally or is the lady LOL though it says she lives in irmo and the place is in Lexington and the jobs do not match so she probably knows the lady.

Demanding Client

So I got this very demanding Client

She wants 100 flyers for her dance sudio by tomorrow.  I send her a proof.  She says remove yadda yadda yadda.

So I remove yadda yadda yadda

Then she says looks good but can you put in Yadda

HUH?  You just told me to remove it!

Then she says I forgot Break dancing!

You forgot WHAT?????   That screws up the whole lay out.

So I put in Break dancing.  My mum said I should demand more money.

I said yeah I should ask for 100 % increase.  100 % increas of nothing is nothing!

Mum says she said she was going to pay you.

I said I havent seen the cell phone money.

I am about to fire my sister as a client LOL

What Conner Said

Conner said:

I have the power to make lead disappear.  (he was holding an eraser)

His mom said I will pay you .50 cents to vaccuum the stairs
Conner said OK
His mom got the mini vaccuum out
and Conner said:
I am not going to vaccuum the floor with a hair dryer.

Age 8

Digi stamp

I redid the Easter bunny Kangroo stamp, it looks much better now LOL.

I got three versions to choose from

First is the bunny by itself

Next is the bunny leaning on the tree
he has an eye ball and a nose now (grin)

Lastly what is a easter bunny with out a basket.  I didnt cheat on the basket.  I cheated on the rest though.  I think it is easy to tell :-)

Well I hope you like my bunnies.  I plan to make a card with it tomorrow and I might just post the results.

My crayolas

I love crayola crayons.  I got a gazillion.   One of my favorite pictures of mine is some of my crayons.  When I worked at the car dealership on saturdays the sales guys thought I was nuts because I would bring a box with me.  They thought I was nuttier when I would take a pictures of them.

I am going to do a crayon count soon and tally up just how many crayons I do have :-)

Well anyway I been researching crayon artist and there are quite a few of them. I am impressed.  You should do a search for them and see what kind of art is out there by just using crayons.

This isnt anything specacular.  I was foolin around with the pc craft image and decided to color it in.  I like it and that is all that matters.

If me and my mum were to have a conversation about computers it would go like this

You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello, and too old to REALLY understand computers, to fully appreciate this. For those of us who sometimes get flustered by our computers, please read on...

If Bud Abbott and Lou Costello were alive today, their infamous sketch, 'Who's on First?' might have turned out something like this:

ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?
COSTELLO: Thanks I'm setting up an office in my den and I'm thinking about buying a computer.
COSTELLO: No, the name's Lou.
ABBOTT: Your computer?
COSTELLO: I don't own a computer. I want to buy one.
COSTELLO: I told you, my name's Lou.
ABBOTT: What about Windows?
COSTELLO: Why? Will it get stuffy in here?
ABBOTT: Do you want a computer with Windows?
COSTELLO: I don't know. What will I see when I look at the windows?
ABBOTT: Wallpaper.
COSTELLO: Never mind the windows. I need a computer and software.
ABBOTT: Software for Windows?
COSTELLO: No. On the computer! I need something I can use to write proposals, track expenses and run my business. What do you have?
ABBOTT: Office.
COSTELLO: Yeah, for my office. Can you recommend anything?
ABBOTT: I just did.
COSTELLO: You just did what?
ABBOTT: Recommend something.
COSTELLO: You recommended something?
COSTELLO: For my office?
COSTELLO: OK, what did you recommend for my office?
ABBOTT: Office.
COSTELLO: Yes, for my office!
ABBOTT: I recommend Office with Windows.
COSTELLO: I already have an office with windows! OK, let's just say I'm sitting at my computer and I want to type a proposal. What do I need?
COSTELLO: What word?
ABBOTT: Word in Office.
COSTELLO: The only word in office is office.
ABBOTT: The Word in Office for Windows.
COSTELLO: Which word in office for windows?
ABBOTT: The Word you get when you click the blue 'W'.
COSTELLO: I'm going to click your blue 'w' if you don't start with some straight answers. What about financial bookkeeping? You have anything I can track my money with?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: That's right. What do you have?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: I need money to track my money?
ABBOTT: It comes bundled with your computer.
COSTELLO: What's bundled with my computer?
ABBOTT: Money.
COSTELLO: Money comes with my computer?
ABBOTT: Yes. No extra charge.
COSTELLO: I get a bundle of money with my computer? How much?
ABBOTT: One copy.
COSTELLO: Isn't it illegal to copy money?
ABBOTT: Microsoft gave us a license to copy Money..
COSTELLO: They can give you a license to copy money?
(A few days later)
ABBOTT: Super Duper computer store. Can I help you?
COSTELLO: How do I turn my computer off?
ABBOTT: Click on 'START'.............

this actually does confuse me cause at the beginning he doesnt have a computer but later on he has a computer with money bundled on it LOL

April 4th

I know I know I should have posted this on april 4th.  I been talking a lot about the zoo lately.  That is because I had two visits.  First on April 4th and then on April 18th.  I took tons of pictures on the first visit.  I took none on the second visit.  I enjoyed an icee on both visits.

spoiler for the Animal swap from my yahoo group

As before mentioned I belong to a great card group on yahoo.  They have a montly swap and a montly challenge.  this months swap is Animals.  If my sisters cat would fit in an envelope I would have sent her... but alas she had issues when I tried to stick her in there. So I am once again stuck with her.

Robin says she is my facebook stalker, LOL I think its true.  For a cat that claims she likes me about as much as I like her she sure does hang around me and the comptuer a lot.  If you read on those sentences on the screen in the photo will appear in this post!

My other cat is sleeping on his back.  Yes on his back with his feet up in the air.

See told you so.
He was sleeping just like this until he woke up when I grabbed the camera but didn't move a muscle.
Cat is crazy I tell you.  Crazy good!

Ok back to the yahoo group subject (I once been told I have ADD, which may be true that is why I don't bake I burn stuff... see I am doing it again blah blah blah)

Here is the card I received for the swap

Back to my crazy good cat.
Really he sleeps like this all the time

awe bummer he just woke up.  He was playing in the water bowl and he heard me grab my camera and moved away from it.
How does he play in his water bowl?  He sticks his feet in it and swirls the water around.. that's how.

The next part is the spoiler. I haven't sent my card out yet but I will give you a sneaky peak of it.

I took the picture myself at our zoo. As I mentioned earlier this week I was at the zoo this week but my camera didn't come out. My sister took the picture of the giraffe accosting me with its tongue a few post back... eeeww that doesn't sound right.  The only reason I mention this is because Monday when I was at the zoo and was waiting for the tram to go back to the garden where I parked they had recordings about the animals in the zoo.  One of the recordings was talking about the grizzly bears.  They were named Butch Cassidy and Sundance.  So I don't know which one I took a picture of but that is their names.  They came from Alaska and would invade camp sites and steal junk food to the point that they were no longer interested getting bear food the normal bear way.  They liked hot dogs and smores way to much.  It is kind of sad these animals were taken out of the wild but they did could not take care of themselves in the usual bear way.

the stand kind of looks like its floating doesn't it.  The reason for it, is because I have a piece of glass on my table to I can make a mess with glues and paints and it all scrapes up easily.

Oh and if your wondering what my cat is up to... he is doing boring cat things and grooming himself.

If your interested in joining the group there is a link to the right.

I didn't mention the theme of the challenge this month.  It is Easter.  February it was valentines day and I won the challenge.  Its a pull your name out of the hat kind of contest.  March of course St. Patricks day or something green.

Now my kitty is going after my facebook stalker, she is hissing and fur is flying.

Its finally coming the fourth book in the inhertance triliogy (triliogy??? well if they can take a book and make it into two movies I guess the aurthor can turn the third book into two books right?

November 8th. YEAH!

Disney on Ice

Sometimes the slide show works sometimes it doesnt.  If you want to see pictures of mickey and the gang during their ice show (we had really good seats I only had to deal with a few heads in the way.  They even had better seats which probably cost a small fortune) Click on the empty space if the pictures are not there. BTW the troll baby freaked me out LOL
I just figured out you have to click on the view all.  It showed up once on my blog and thats it.  Maybe you can see it but I cannot.

The googles have it

The winner of the to google or not to google the googles win in a land slide, and I said in the post below I dont google.  Well I guess I was wrong!

just to clarify things

So I will glue down the google eyes tomorrow and finish off my card.  I did have a chance to get to the dollar store to stock up on google eyes.

They come in 125 per pack.  Anybody see anything wrong in that?  LOL.

trip to the doc

It all started Tuesday night when I decided to take a shower so I be ready for my interview Wednesday.  When I took that shower I got water in my ear.  It did not dry up quickly.
I hoped sleep would aid me with the problem.
I woke up Wednesday with it.
I went on my interview.
I yahooed remedies cause I dont google (blogging and gmail the exception)
One suggested I tilt my head sideways and hop one one foot.
The cat laughed at me when I fell over.
One suggested I stick my finger in my ear and pull it in and out creating a vacuum.
No Go.
One suggested I put water in my ear to break the air seal
You got to be joking right?
One suggested using Rubbing Alchol and white vinegar
That didnt work either.
So Thursday comes and I repeat all the above steps.
Cat laughed at me again, No Go, you got to be Joking and that didnt work either.
So I bought the swimming ear.  I knew I was probably wasting money because it was pretty much all rubbing alchol.  But I desided to try it again.
Nothing doing.
Friday is here.
I decide to go to the minute clinic at CVS... thinking it might be cheaper then a real doc.  I had to explain the problem several times to the nurse before she figured out what I was talking about.  I didnt have insurance and she told me it was going to cost 90.00.  I said if your gonna charge me that much Im going to a real doctor.  She told me it would cost more.
I call mom and she suggested I go to Dr. Harris office but not use Dr. Harris (thats sooo funny) I talked her into calling for me.  I was acting like a big ole baby.
She got me an appointment in an hour.
I get to the docs and I was in the office 5 mins.  She took a quick peep into my ear.  Gave a perscription for Amoxacillian (free at publix) and free samples of anti histamene ... Im to tired to spell check sorry about that.
I get to the check out and she says 41 bucks.  I said excuse me, cant hear so good out of one hear.  She says 41 bucks and if you pay for it all now I will deduct 25% off so my bill was a grand total of 30.75.
So I dont know if the doc cut the cost down cause when she asked if I needed a doctors excuse I told her I lost my job or what.
What is interesting the docs office was 1/3 the cost of the minute clinic with a nurse practionary.
I had a Disney on Ice date with my nephews so I waited to take the meds after I got home.  Just in case it knocked me out.

So I just took the meds and maybe hopefully it will dry me out before I wake... wouldnt that be WONDERFUL!

to google eye or not to google eye that is the question?

Need some advise
1) should I ad the google eyes (click on the photos for a better view ... the front is crooked sorry about that)
2) Sentiment... what should it be.  It probably will be for a birthday card (wild thing you make my heart sing is not appropriate LOL)

Im thinking only sentiment on the inside.

Im leaning towards google eyes myself.  I need to run to the store to get me some.  Thank goodness for the dollar store!

Some info about my card if your interested.  The card stock is generic michaels brand.  I really like the brown.  I use it a lot.  Its like chip board color.
The clip art is from PC crafter and it is called Animal Kingdom.  The link takes you directly to the clip art set.  Its only 4.95 and comes in color and black and white.  They were doing digi stamps before digi stamps were cool! They use to have a creatable club.  For 8.00 bucks a month you get two sets of clip art, home projects (like stationary etc using the creatables) Paper dolls, Screen savers, stuff for your www page, candy bar wrappers and in the middle of the month you got a few extra clips to go with one of the creatables. Then you got 20% off any purchase.  Sweet huh?  But sad to say they discontinued that January.
You are allowed to use the clip art in any projects you sell.  They have rules so you should read them.
One finally note, not all the clip art comes in black and white.  The ones that do will have WMF file ext.  A lot of it is just jpeg and PNG.   So read the discription and the file types befor purchasing.  I dont want anybody to be disappointed in something I suggested.   You will also need to down load their software to view the graphics.  I heard somepeople have found a way around this but I havent bothered it learning it.

I printed them in black and white.  I used my prisma colored pencils and oderless mineral spirits to color the critters in.  I fussy cut them out (that word fussy is silly but thats the new jargon for it now LOL)
For the inside I made my own grass.

Windows explorer 9 issues

UUUUUUUUUUUGGGH.  Its not worth Upgrading to windows explorer 9.  It does not work right with any of the www pages.  Even Yahoo.  Yahoo was one of the www sites that promotes the upgrade.  You have to Change the compatiblity view so explorer looks at it as if is an earlier version.

or you will get post like the below... nothing said in the body.  The post with the Test was after I clicked on compativility view.
The same goes for facebook.

The wall will come tumbling down is playing on the radio.  I remember hating this song with a Passion when I was a little girl. Similar to nails scrapping down a chalk board.  It was on the charts at the same time as Queens another one bites the dust. Did not really care for that song either. I now am a fan of queens.  As for the wall song... it does not have the same effect as nails down a chalk board anymore.  I think that's due to me lovin me some rock n roll.
