A woman who works with her hands is a LABORER; a woman who works with her hands and head, a CRAFTSMAN; but a woman who works with her hands, her head and her heart is an ARTIST. ~ St. Francis of Assisi

15 minute journal and some back ground papers

Well its almost done.  It needs to dry and then I will go over it the pit brush marker.  I might use some oil pastels or markers to make it pop even more.

The next couple ones is a video I posted about a post or two back.  Its basically taking junk mail and paint over it with Gesso.  Make textures by slapping it on and then drawing things with items such as a fork.  Let dry.  I used Tim Holtz Distress inks dauber things and ran them over it.  Why dont you try your own products that you have handy and see what you come up with.

This is the beginning of something fun.  Its left over paint from the last few projects I have been working on.  One day it will be filled with all fun sorts of colors and textures and swirls and patterns and It will be ready to cut up into backgrounds.  Thanks to Jelliebellie on yourtube again for this idea.
